Hua Hin is located about 200 km south of Bangkok in the north end of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. Hua Hin has long been a seaside resort popular with the Thais. Klai Kongwon, the summer palace and one of HM favorites is located near the Hua Hin airport.
Takiab Beach at the south end of Hua Hin is a bit less crowded than Hua Hin proper.
In recent years, Hua Hin has seen an expansion of nightlife, with a number of beer bar being built.
Hua Hin is accessible by bus, rail, car and air (Hua Hin Airport).
Rail service from Hualampong takes 3-4 hours.
Bus service from the Southern Bus Station near the Taksin Sky Train Station. About 3.5 hours via VIP (24 seat) bus.
Phetkasem Highway (route 4) gets you to Cha-am in about 2.5 hours by car.
