Map of Mu Koh Surin
When it comes to scuba diving, Mu Koh Surin is among the favorites. What many travelers fail to realize is that you don't need to scuba dive to enjoy the cluster of islands.
“The entire Surin archipelago covers a region greater than 320 km² and includes the picturesque islands of Koh Tachai and Koh Bon. Also, Richelieu Rock lies within the borders of the Surin National Park. These 3 areas in particular offer, undoubtedly, the most spectacular scuba diving in Thailand as this is where the large pelagic favourites, Manta Rays and Whale Sharks, are often sighted.
The Marine Park headquarters are situated on the North island. They are tastefully designed, blending with the surroundings. Thankfully the National Park has not pushed the development of the island too far. Most of accommodation is in the form of tents, although there are also a few bungalows that are for rent. Many visitors choose to stay for 3 days or more so that they can fully enjoy the natural delights found here.”
