National Parks Northern Thailand

A first glance at a map of national parks in Northern Thailand could make you believe that parks cover the entire region. Northern Thailand has lots of mountains and many mountain areas have been designated as national park areas.

Doi Suthep National Park in Chiang Mai is probably the region's -- and one of Thailand's best nature park. More than 350 bird species, numerous large animal species in the wild -- plus Thailand's highest peak -- are a few reasons for the parks popularity.
